Economics
In economics today in China the unemployment rate is 4.1% as of 2015, the poverty rate is 6.3% as of 2011, and the GDP per capita is 6092.78 USD as of 2012. GDP is the measure of the total of one country that takes that GDP (gross domestic product) and divides it by the number of people in that country. GDP per capita is very useful when showing one country to another. Major industries in China include the power industry, manufacturing and automobiles, and power generating equipment industry. In the power industry there was the thermal, hydro, and nuclear power industries which all flourished in china and produced a wide spread output of materials. The automobile industry flourished greatly with the making of new car models and better cars. |
POlitics
China is currently a one party communist state lead by leader Xi Jinping. In china the government has a monopoly over the people, and are very strict over the people. China is not currently mixed up in any domestic or foreign conflicts, and they are a pretty stable country. It may be thought that china is unstable but they are no more unstable than any other nations. |

Social/Culture
There are a few human right violation set in china such as the death penalty, one-child policy, and the neglect of freedom of press in mainland china. In china families are only allowed to have one child, and if the first child is a girl then they are allowed a second. Some health concerns in China are thought to be water pollution/shortages, soil pollution, desertification, and one of the biggest air pollution. Due to all of the factories and constant working of machines, this could lead to all of the pollution in China. Literacy rates in China are very high; youth females and males at 99% have a higher rate then adult females ands males at 97%. The average life expectancy, last calculated in 2012, is 75.20 years. In China there is a lot of crime such as corruption, drug trafficking, money laundering, fraud, human trafficking, and large black markets. The black markets could be because of government regulations that were put in place making certain things hard to legally obtain. Socially in China there are three classes. There is the first class, known as the gentry, made up of wealthy landowners. The second class, peasants, are the farmers and the third class, the merchants, are on a lower status then the peasants. Some merchants go on to become apart of the gentry.
